Charting is single handedly the most important asset to every trader or investors success. You have to be able to see the breakdown of each stock or currency and how it’s moving so that you are putting yourself in the best possible position to succeed. Once again, you have unlimited resources you can use, you just need to find out what works best for you. Any charting platform that has live trading transactions (Level II) is something that I would recommend so that you can be up to date on that specific chart every trade it has.
For charting with the stock market, you have many options but the ones that I would personally recommend are; E-TRADE Pro, Interactive Broker, Trade Ideas, and ThinkOrSwim. Everything you need for reading a chart is found on all of those platforms.
Since the cryptocurrency market is complete different from traditional NASDAQ and NYSE stocks, most of these platforms do not provide live charting for your coins. Now, we have a number of different options when it comes to cryptocurrency charting as well. Platforms I would recommend are TradingView, Coinigy, Cryptowatch and Cryptrader. These also can provide you with any technical breakdown you are looking for with live trading transactions.
Everybody does charting a little bit differently, and with that being said reading a chart is 100% personal preference. You can take any chart into very specific details with indicators and different studies. If you are new to cryptocurrency charting, starting with TradingView is a great way to go. They can provide you with the basics you need to really get started and get your feet wet.
